Meet Nicholas Cappele | Alchemist & H2e Aromatherapy Products Creator
ShoutOut Arizona featured Nicholas Cappele in today’s Local Story section.
We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicholas Cappele and we’ve shared our conversation below about his aromatherapy beginning.
Hi Nicholas, what do you attribute your success to?
My success as an Alchemist has come from listening to clients needs and doing the research on the plants that could help the individual along with coming from the heart and following my intuition when developing formulas.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Both sets of my grandparents were farmers that immigrated to the US from Italy and Scotland. My fathers side landed in Iowa and my Moms side in NYC. My dad was in the military when he met my mom and we spent most of my childhood traveling stateside and abroad in Europe. One of the best things my Parents did was make sure we lived off base to experience the native culture & because of that choice I’ve been taught to keep an open mind, show respect and learn from a different approach to life. I started my design career right out of high school with an opportunity to manage a hair salon In Tucson. My parents did not have the money to send me to college so I bought my first house at nineteen and sold it to a Doctor 3 years later to finance my way through the Interior Design program at the FT Lauderdale Art Institute. After graduating I headed up to NYC to spend the 80’s in Manhattan which was both the darkest and most exhilarating times of my life.It was survival of the fittest and I took the opportunities to experience jobs in the floral clothing hair and interior design fields while I was there. The darkness set in the late 80’s with loosing friends to the Aids crisis and the passing of my father. My mom was having a hard time & I decided to come back to Phoenix to be with her. I took my experience from the east and got a job in a salon built my client base and with that base started my interior design business. I was going strong working with 3 sets of contractors to handle to work until the crash happened and that is when a new chapter emerged after completing the design project for my Attorney friend. Looking back on the last 10 years I’m seeing all of my experience coming together with the launch of my H2e Aromatherapy company which has been an amazing journey in helping people find their inner peace get back on track with my compositions.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I always take my visiting guests to Sedona for hiking in Boynton Canyon home of the great mother & one of the most magical places on earth to chill and reset. Pre covid 19 I would take them to the Phoenix Art museum, the Botanical Gardens a trip to downtown Tempe & Old Town Scottsdale. Might get a quick bite at the Phoenix city Grill or AZ88. I like to cook so dinner was usually at home.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shout out goes to a former Interior Design client Pamela Donison who encouraged me to write my book Altared Space after the success of using Feng Shui and bio-philia in the redesign of her Law Office and my Editor and Coach Jill Bernstein who encouraged me to join a writing program where 100 authors, if chosen would fly to New York for the opportunity to do a 3o sec pitch on their book to ABC NBC and CBS affiliates. After my book went to Best Seller on Amazon both Pamela and Jill encouraged me to develop my Chakra products for workshops and also introduced me to the Downtown Phoenix Market to reach a local base of clients.Because my products are experiential this market has provided an excellent format to listen to what people are looking for and get feedback on the new products I create.
